The Senior Poultry Veterinary Expert will be responsible for providing professional veterinary expertise in poultry health management, disease prevention, and productivity enhancement. The position requires hands-on experience in diagnosing, controlling, and preventing poultry diseases, as well as offering technical guidance and support to production teams.

Job Requirements

Education:

• From a recognized university/college:

  • Second Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, or other relevant field of study
    OR

  • First Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, or other relevant field of study

Experience:

• With a Second Degree: 3–4 years of experience in the field

• With a First Degree: 5–6 years of experience in the field

Technical & Veterinary Skills

1. Poultry Health Management – Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of common poultry diseases.

2. Vaccination & Immunization Programs – Designing and supervising effective vaccination schedules.

3. Biosecurity Measures – Implementing strict farm hygiene and disease control protocols.

4. Laboratory Skills – Basic microbiology, serology, and pathology relevant to poultry.

5. Medication & Treatment Knowledge – Expertise in antibiotics, antivirals, and nutritional supplements specific to poultry.

6. Disease Surveillance & Epidemiology – Monitoring, reporting, and managing outbreaks.
