Duties & Responsibilities:

• Processing and Recording Transactions: Entering financial data, such as invoices, receipts, and payments, into accounting software.

• Account Reconciliation: Ensuring the accuracy of financial records by comparing internal data with external statements like bank statements.

• Maintaining Ledgers: Managing and updating general and subsidiary ledgers.

• Preparing Financial Statements: Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing payments to suppliers and tracking money owed by customers.

• Payroll Processing: Assisting with the calculation and processing of employee salaries and related taxes.

• Data Entry and Analysis: Maintaining accurate financial databases and assisting with basic financial analysis.

• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies and relevant accounting regulations.

• Reporting: Preparing regular reports on financial activities.

• Supporting Senior Accountants: Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, audits, and other accounting projects.

  Essential Skills:

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP or other relevant standards).

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero).

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accurate in handling financial information.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication to interact with colleagues and explain financial information.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is often required

• 1+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of transportation-related formulas and functions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
