Lotus MCH Center is seeking warm, professional, and organized Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will embody The Lotus Standard, welcoming every person with empathy, attentiveness, and calm professionalism.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a people-facing role, enjoys helping others, and can manage front-office duties with care and accuracy. You will play an essential role in ensuring each patient’s experience - from arrival to departure - feels supported, efficient, and compassionate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients, families, and visitors warmly and guide them through the registration process.

  • Manage check-in, appointment scheduling, and check-out with accuracy and care.

  • Answer phone calls and inquiries with professionalism, directing patients to the right department or provider.Coordinate with nurses, doctors, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update visit details in the system.

  • Handle payments and receipts in coordination with the cashier and/or finance team.

  • Ensure the reception and waiting areas remain clean, calm, and welcoming.

  • Uphold confidentiality and treat all patient information with discretion and respect.

  • Reflect The Lotus Standard of kindness, clarity, and presence in all interactions.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Mandatory minimum of 1–2 years’ experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare or customer service setting.

  • Mandatory experience working with POS cash register systems

  • Excellent communication skills in Amharic and English (spoken and written).

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a naturally calm and welcoming demeanor.

  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office; EMR experience is an advantage).

  • Organized, attentive to detail, and able to multitask in a busy environment.

  • Commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and teamwork.
