We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Procurement Officer to lead and optimize our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor relations, and strategic sourcing, with a proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and deliver cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, bidding, evaluation, and contracting
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, donor regulations, and industry standards
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
Negotiate contracts and build long-term relationships with reliable suppliers
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory
Lead procurement audits and support external reviews
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain roles
Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and vendor management
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage
