Job Description

The Finance and Administration Head will oversee the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of the company. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and efficient administrative operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

  • Manage receivables, payables, payroll, and taxation in compliance with Ethiopian laws.

  • Monitor internal controls, cost control, and financial risks.

  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.

  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis to provide insights for decision-making.

  • Develop and implement company policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

  • Support the management team in decision-making with relevant data and reports.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to enhance organizational effectiveness.

  • Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute strategic HR and financial plans.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/ Masters' Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, IFRS, and financial regulations.

  • Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
