Job Summary
Job Purpose
To support the Head of Market & Liquidity Risk by gathering information and preparing various market risk reports as per policy. This role involves analyzing financial data, conducting daily valuations on the bank’s portfolios and exposures, and ensuring adherence to approved market and liquidity limits within the Treasury function
Job Requirement
Qualification & Experience : A minimum of first Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Quantitative, and a professional qualification in accounting, and/or CFA, etc. with one year experience as Senior Market Risk Analyst in in a risk management environment and practical dealing room experience is an advantage.
In-depth understanding of the application of the NBE Basel prudential guidelines.
Good understanding of market risk indexes and their impact on financial markets productssuch as, derivatives, interest rates, foreign exchange, and swap contracts.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS classification and treatment of securities – TradingandInvestment portfolio.
Good awareness of Banking products/services relevant in designing and implementingmarketrisk.
Ability to model Markets Risk modules from a regulatory capital perspective.
Good understanding of Markets Risk limitation management and supporting processes.
