Nurse, Clinical (MSc)

The Clinical Nurse with a Master of Science (MSc) degree will provide advanced nursing care, serve as a clinical expert, and contribute to nursing education, research, and quality improvement initiatives within a specialized clinical area. This role involves direct patient care, leadership, and mentorship.
Clinical Duties:
Provide highly skilled and evidence-based nursing care to complex patient populations within a specific clinical specialty (e.g., critical care, oncology, pediatrics).
Conduct advanced nursing assessments, develop comprehensive care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
Monitor patient progress, interpret clinical data, and make informed decisions about patient care.
Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient management.
Act as a resource and expert clinician for challenging patient cases.
Participate in direct patient care and serve as a role model for nursing excellence.
Administrative Duties:
Lead or participate in clinical policy and procedure development based on best practices.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs within the department.
Mentor and provide clinical supervision to junior nurses and nursing students.
Engage in nursing research activities to improve patient outcomes and nursing practice.
Educational Duties:
Develop and deliver in-service education programs for nursing staff.
Provide expert patient and family education on complex health conditions and care management.
Stay abreast of current trends and research in their clinical specialty.
Minimum Requirements
Master of Science (MSc) degree in Nursing, preferably with a specialization in a clinical area (e.g., Critical Care Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing).
Valid professional nursing license by the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) or equivalent regulatory body in Ethiopia.
Minimum of 5 years of post-MSc clinical nursing experience in a relevant hospital setting.
Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication abilities.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
