Job Description

Plays a pivotal role focused on driving the Reachanother’s growth through strategic planning, market expansion, partnerships, and customer acquisition. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is goal driven, strategic, data-driven, and adept at building relationships with development partners, private/corporate companies, NGOs etc. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Marketing, and Advisory—to identify new market opportunities, cultivate relationships with clients and partners, and craft long-term growth strategies. It offers the opportunity to greatly impact Reachanother’s growth and market presence.

Manage relationships with medicines and medical equipment suppliers; insure that the business is done in line with EFDA and other regulatory requirement; handle technical issues related to periodic importation of medicines and medical equipment; ensure that medicines and medical equipment are stored and distributed in compliance to the EFDA regulations; authorize purchase requisitions and ensures that all sales are made to legally authorized dealers; prepare and submit reports required by regulatory organs and those needed for the management decisions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy for and identify local and foreign medicine and medical equipment manufacturers that could be engaged as potential suppliers, 

  • Along with the General manager deal with medicines and medical equipment manufacturers to secure exclusive agency agreements,

  • Fulfill the documents required by EFDA and lodge application for registration of agency agreements and make the agreement registered, 

  • Secure certificate of registration for medicines and medical equipment and make sure that periodic renewals are made on timely basis,

  • Ensure that medical representatives and other concerned employees undergo trainings on new product feature, new developments on the existing line of products and compliance requirements, 

  • From time to time identify new product lines that are demanded in the market and make the necessary preparations for the registration of same with EFDA,

  • Prepare purchase orders and obtains approval of the EFDA and put order to suppliers,

  • Follow up the order status as well as customs inspection and clearances of medicines and medical equipment imported,

  • Ensure proper storage of medicines and medical equipment in storage,

  • Supervise the storekeeper and ensure that the store operation is done in line with standard practices and regulatory requirements,

  • Check the purchase requisition of customers and ensure that all buyers have renewed certificate and are authorized to sale the product,

  • Make sure that orders received electronically are printed and signed by the customer as a firm order, 

  • Approve sales invoices and store issue vouchers, 

  • Prepare and submit reports on each line of business for management consumptions and to regulatory organs,

  • Performs other related duties as required.  

Job Requirements

  • Pharmacist (with valid EFDA professional license)   

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Pharmaceutical jobs (of which 3 years in pharmaceuticals import company), with a proven track record in driving growth. years of)

  • Through knowledge of EFDA rules and regulations

  • Basic computer application skills

  • Excellent communication skill, both oral and written

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business strategy, and client management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.

  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships and alliances.

  • Familiarity with CRM software, market analysis tools, and business development platforms.

  • Commercial and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of scaling, business development, revenue generation, and budgeting.

  • Ability to develop and manage profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of customer needs, with the ability to enhance customer experience.

  • Strong proposal writing, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client preferences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients and partners
