The Accounting Manager will lead the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, compliance with IFRS and local tax laws, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role oversees accounts payable (creditors), accounts receivable, monthly closing, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager also supervises and develops the accounting team, continuously strengthening internal processes and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the integrity of financial data.

• Lead month-end and year-end closings and prepare timely financial reports.

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, vendor reconciliations, GRN validation, and ensure accurate accruals.

• Manage accounts receivable, monitor aging, enforce credit controls, and coordinate collections.

• Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

• Strengthen internal controls, support audits, and drive continuous process improvement.

• Supervise and develop the accounting team.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Solid knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards, and Ethiopian tax laws.

• Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to lead and develop a team.

• Fluent in English and Amharic; other local languages are an advantage.
