Job Description
ACT is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial management and ensure the accuracy of project financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budget control, ensuring project costs align with budget allocations while closely tracking expenses, including invoices and other project-related expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Oversee and maintain accurate project financial records, including budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts.
Budget Control: Ensure alignment of project costs with budget allocations
Expense Tracking: Monitor daily financial activities and keep track of invoices, expenses, and other project-related expenditures.
Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, cost analysis, and project status updates for management and stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or a related role.
Proven experience in budget control, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with financial compliance, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders.
Experience in grant or donor-funded project accounting is a plus.
