Job Description
Deenpire Trading PLC is a trading company located at the heart of Merkato with the aspiration of becoming one of the leading trading companies in Ethiopia. Currently we are looking for competitive and energetic staff on the following vacant position
Job Title: Accountant
Salary: Negotiable
Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and verify the payment requests from petty cash, purchase funds or check payments and ensure the timely replenishment of these funds so that sufficient cash will always be available in the hands of the cashier.
Prepare documents and receipts, and ensuring proper tax is implemented during purchase or refund requests.
Preparing financial analyses and reports.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts;
Maintaining records of payroll documentation and transactions.
Processes payments which involve ensuring all payments are adequately supported by appropriate documentation;
Maintain the accounting reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all ledgers and all supporting documentation and compliance with finance and procurement regulations;
Ensure expenses are authorized and processed in accordance with agreed procedures and according to the finance regulation;
Maintain accounting records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, well archived, and safeguarded;
Prepare Cheque and balance the daily account at the end of each day.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
Educational requirement:
Minimum BA degree in Accounting
Work experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Good knowledge of import and export producers
Good knowledge of IFRS,Peachtree accounting
Other requirements
Good knowledge of Ethiopian customs rule and regulation
Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel
Good knowledge of Human Resource Management
