Tinaw Business S.C. is legally registered entity established in accordance with the Commercial Code of Ethiopia. Located in Guraghe Zone of the Central Ethiopian State Ezga Woreda. The Company is currently engaged in the production and exports of rose flower on 32 hectares of greenhouse coverage and exports to the international market. Currently the company employs about 800 employees and generates millions Euro per year. Building on 18 years of experience and remarkable performance in the floriculture sector, the company has embarked on farm expansion project on 54 hectares of land. The first phase of the project implementation on 15 hectares is almost completed and the second phase has started on 25 hectares. 

We want to recruit and hire an experienced IT Technician for Addis Ababa Office.

The IT Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems. The technician ensures the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure and provides timely support to users to resolve technical issues in coordination with the stakeholder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure computer hardware, printers, photo copy machine and scanners

• Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization

• Coordinate with the outsourced service provider to monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.

• Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices

• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance

• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

• Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components

• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment

• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults

• Repair or replace equipment as necessary

• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

• Assist with system upgrades and data backups

• Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets

• Working with any software developer who are working with the company as partner.

• Performs other duties to be assigned by his/her immediate supervisors

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• BSc Degree in computer science, Computer and electrical engineering with at least 4 years’ experience,

Competencies:

• Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position.

• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills

• Excellent communication ability

• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage 

• Prior experience in hardware maintenance is considered an asset
