Position Summary :
The Project Manager will play a critical role in leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of project plans and Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks. This position ensures the effective and timely delivery of projects by coordinating cross-functional teams, developing high-quality documentation, and leveraging data analysis to inform strategic decision-making. The Project Manager will lead the design, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with Shega’s mission and partner expectations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in program management, research, data analysis, and report writing, and who has exposure to technology and digital financial services ecosystems. This is a contract-based role (Fixed term).
➤ Project Leadership and Management
Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive project plans and M&E frameworks.
Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Ensure compliance with partner requirements, government regulations, and organizational standards throughout project lifecycles.
Research & Knowledge Development
Lead and contribute to research initiatives, design and implement research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, synthesize findings into actionable insights and contribute to knowledge products such as white papers, policy briefs, and market intelligence reports,
Stay informed on trends in digital finance, technology, and development in Ethiopia to inform project design and advisory services.
➤ Reporting, Data Analysis, and Insights
Develop high-quality reports, proposals, and documentation tailored for internal and external stakeholders, including development partners.
Analyze project data rigorously and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Support the integration and utilization of digital tools and platforms for efficient project tracking and reporting.
➤ Stakeholder Engagement and Program Oversight
Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including active collaboration with government agencies, partners, NGOs, and private sector partners.
Oversee program management aspects to ensure project activities align with broader organizational and partner objectives.
Qualification Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in project management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Economics, Data Science (with a development focus), Economics, or Finance. An MBA with a focus on development or finance is also highly valued.
Required Skills & Experience:
4–6 years of proven experience in Research, Data Analysis, Digital Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Excellent project planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advanced report writing and presentation skills, specifically tailored to donor and government audiences.
Proficient in project management tools like MS Project, data visualization tools such as Power BI (or related applications), survey tools, and Excel.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-sectoral environments.
Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
