Since our April 2025 launch, we’ve been building simple, smart financial solutions tailored specifically for doctors, nurses, clinics, and medical staff and other health professionals – because they deserve financial service that understands healthcare.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Business Development to drive growth, expand market reach, and enhance the financial services of our cooperative. You will lead strategic initiatives to acquire new members, develop partnerships, and increase revenue while ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
Business Growth & Strategy:
Develop and execute business development strategies to expand membership and financial products.
Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
Analyze industry trends and competitor activity to position the SACCO competitively.
Member Acquisition & Retention:
Design and implement campaigns to attract and retain members.
Strengthen relationships with existing members through value-added services.
Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strategic alliances with banks, fintechs, NGOs, and government agencies.
Represent the SACCO at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
Work closely with internal teams to align business development with operational capabilities.
Performance & Reporting:
Set and monitor KPIs for business growth, member acquisition, and revenue targets.
Prepare reports on business development progress for senior management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and cooperative policies
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing in financial services (SACCOs, Microfinance, banking, or fintech).
Strong network and negotiation skills with a track record of driving growth.
Analytical mindset with expertise in market research and strategy formulation.
Leadership ability to inspire teams and foster collaboration.
