Job Description
The General Surgeon is responsible for performing surgical procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities in various parts of the body, primarily involving the abdomen, digestive tract, skin, and soft tissues. The surgeon evaluates patients, diagnoses conditions, performs surgeries, and provides pre- and post-operative care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilites:
Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient histories.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and biopsies.
Perform a variety of general surgeries such as appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removal, and abdominal surgeries.
Ensure safe and sterile surgical environments.
Monitor patients after surgery and manage recovery, including wound care and pain control.
Recognize and manage post-surgical complications.
Maintain detailed patient records including operative notes and progress reports.
Keep up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques, tools, and research.
Job Requirements:
Education: Doctor of Medicine with a Specialty in General Surgery or in a related field of study
Expereince: Minimum of 2 years and above work experience in the field
