Job Description
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for the company’s overall leadership, strategic direction, and management. The CEO will ensure the effective implementation of the company’s mission, vision, and goals in line with regulatory frameworks and stakeholder expectations while maintaining sound financial and operational performance.
Lead the strategic planning and execution of the company’s operations and growth initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and NBE directives.
Foster a performance-driven culture and oversee staff development and organizational capacity building.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including those of shareholders, regulators, and the public.
Oversee financial sustainability, risk management, and operational efficiency.
Report periodically to the Board of Directors on performance and strategic matters.
Represent the institution at relevant platforms and act as its public spokesperson.
Promote digital financial services and financial inclusion objectives.
Desired Qualifications
Education (Required KSAs): Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Marketing Management, or a related field from a recognized university. An advanced degree (MBA or related) is desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in microfinance or banking institutions, preferably in well-established financial institutions, of which at least 4 years must be at an executive managerial level.
Physical Ability: Capable of performing under pressure and managing multiple tasks.

Dynamic, disciplined, and decisive leadership style.
Psychological Ability
Emotionally intelligent and resilient under challenging environments.
Other Skills Required

Sound knowledge of financial services and digital finance ecosystems.
Additional Training: Training in corporate governance, risk management, or microfinance leadership is an added advantage.
Language: Proficiency in English and Amharic.
Salary and Benefits: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience, aligned with company scale and benefits policy.
Working Conditions: Office-based in Addis Ababa with occasional travel to operational sites..
